DECEMBER 11, 2026 - BYOPOLYMERS AND SUSTAINABILITY
In the first part of the course, the main classes of macromolecular-based materials that can be included in the group of what are commonly referred to as 'Biopolymers' will be illustrated. The concepts and definitions concerning the biodegradability of a polymeric material and the chemical origin of the material itself will be discussed in order to be able to classify it as a "Biopolymer". In the second part of the course, the basic concepts that revolve around the generic term of 'Sustainability' will be covered. Dealing with these topics means trying to translate, in the most scientific and measurable way possible, very noble concepts, but often too poorly defined.
COURSE TIMES
From 9.30 to 17.00
